The Fiber Optic Circulator is a three-port device that operates in one direction without allowing signals to travel back, making it suitable for various optical systems. A signal entering through Port 1 will exit from Port 2 with minimal loss, while a signal coming from Port 2 will leave via Port 3 with little attenuation. Importantly, the device isolates all signals attempting to flow in reverse; this means no signal can go from Port 2 to Port 1 or from Port 3 back to Port 2. It functions independently of polarization (although polarization-dependent versions are available) and has low polarization-dependent loss (PDL). The optical path is free of epoxy, making it capable of handling relatively high-power applications. This isolator boasts a compact design along with enhanced stability and reliability.
